Situated right on the entrance to the Paihia Wharf are the carved Kauri dolphins on display & top left of the video is the Pohutukawa tree in flower. Pohutukawa and rata are known as New Zealand’s native Christmas tree because of the bright red blooms which decorate the trees during the Christmas season.
